New HGTV Series Partners With Norfolk Kitchen & Bath

HGTV’s newest remodeling show, “Fix My Frankenhouse”, has partnered with Norfolk Kitchen & Bath on a kitchen project for its pilot season.

Fix My Frankenhouse is a Greater Boston based series that focuses on modernizing older homes that have been “frankensteined” over time. Many older New England homes have undergone renovations from several owners, leaving the houses with dysfunctional layouts and quirky design features.

Stoughton-based married couple Denese and Mike Butler team up to design and renovate these southern Massachusetts Frankenhouses into their clients’ dream homes. Mike handles the construction and layout reworks while Denese uses unique and custom finishes to style the home to their clients’ tastes.

“They’re hodgepodge houses that don’t flow,” Mike Butler explains. “A Frankenhouse could have ten different types of flooring on one level or bad sightlines, e.g., you open the front door to a view of a toilet down the hall. The layout and features just don’t make sense or lend themselves to modern-day living.” (Source: HGTV)

In the final episode of the pilot season (Season 1, Episode 6), Denese and Mike Butler work with Daryl & Annalisa in Rehoboth, MA, a couple who has finally settled in a charming old New England gambrel after years of long-distance commuting from California. Although the house is spacious, the confusing layout makes the home feel cramped and dysfunctional. Most of all, Annalisa, a personal chef, desperately needs a kitchen with ample prep space and cabinetry storage.

As part of the renovation process, the Butlers bring Daryl and Annalisa to their local expert kitchen supplier, Norfolk Kitchen & Bath in Braintree, MA. Using our vast selection of cabinets, countertops & hardware selections, they are able to put together the perfect design for the couple’s dream home.
