Irish Creme Kitchen Remodel – Allenstown, NH

This beautiful kitchen remodel in Allenstown, NH was designed by Julie Blake from our Salem showroom. The goal of the remodel was to extend the kitchen’s space and seating while updating the look of the homeowner’s 1980s kitchen. The homeowners frequently entertain and host family, so creating a kitchen where everyone could gather, visit, and feel comfortable was an important part of the design.

The new kitchen features Medallion cabinetry with the Lancaster and Potters Mill door styles, finished in Irish Creme and Hickory French Roast. A larger island provides additional seating and workspace, giving family and guests a place to sit while the homeowner cooks or works on crafts with the grandchildren. The island was also designed with shaped legs to support the overhang, creating a comfortable and inviting gathering space.

Storage and convenience were also key considerations throughout the remodel. The kitchen includes appliance storage, two-drawer pots and pans storage, a trash cabinet, and a set-on wall cabinet with drawers. The homeowners also wanted the grandchildren to be able to help themselves, so cups are stored in a cabinet at the end of the island where they can easily reach them.

Additional features include a farmer’s sink and undercabinet lighting, along with a quartz countertop in Emerstone Jasper and a full-height stone backsplash. The combination of updated finishes, improved storage, and a larger gathering area gives this once-dated kitchen a fresh look while making it much more functional for everyday family life and entertaining.
