My Background: I have been designing kitchens for over 18 years, working with contractors, remodeling companies, and even taking on independent projects. Throughout this journey, I’ve developed a deep passion for creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also functional and tailored to each client’s unique needs. As the father of two adult children living on opposite coasts – one in Seattle and the other in Maine, I’ve gained firsthand insight into blending diverse styles, from modern and sleek designs to classic New England charm.
What I Love About Designing: Designing is more than a career for me. I thrive on creativity and problem-solving, which are at the heart of every design I take on. With each project, I bring the same excitement and dedication as if I were designing my own kitchen, embracing the opportunity to explore a variety of styles that I truly love. There’s a unique thrill in transforming challenging spaces into stunning, functional kitchens that seamlessly meet today’s needs and enhance modern lifestyles. Remodeling Advice For Homeowners: Starting a project often means having a clear vision of what you want—but sometimes, that clarity can create blind spots, leading to missed opportunities for optimizing your space. A designer’s job is to not only address the challenges of your current layout but also to elevate your vision with innovative, practical solutions you may not have considered. Fun Fact: One of my favorite recent adventures was participating in the Overcrest Rally 2024 in Mexican Hat, Utah. I got to drive with my son in his 76 Datsun 280Z all the way from Seattle to Utah. What a ride! I am obsessed with the Karmann Ghia because of its classic and timeless design. I also always find myself knee-deep in a project, whether it’s fixing something indoors or building something outdoors.

We were fortunate to meet Marc Laprise during our initial visit, and it was delightful to work with him during the entire process of designing our custom kitchen and bar!
