About Kate:
Designing Since: 2011
Awards & Certifications: Certificate in Kitchen & Bath Design – Century College
My Background: I began my career selling and designing walk-in, reach-in closets and storage solutions for Closet Factory in 2011. In 2022, I graduated from Century College, specializing in Kitchen and Bath design, an NKBA sponsored program. During and after my education, I had the opportunity to work for some award-winning kitchen design companies and learn from some of the best designers in the business.
What I Love About Designing: I love helping clients envision the space, helping them identify design ideas that inspire them and bringing it all together for a beautiful end result. I love it when my clients say, “WOW, that’s amazing! It’s more beautiful than I had imagined.” It’s all about creating spaces that inspire clients to allow them to fall in love with their home again, want to spend more time at home and create lasting memories with friends and family.
Advice For Homeowners Purchasing A New Kitchen/Bath: My advice is to create a vision board or scrap book! Spend some time on Pinterest and Houzz to really get an idea of what styles, appliances, accessories and colors that inspire you. Having an initial vision is essential to communicate your dream kitchen to the designer, establishing a realistic budget. Your vision helps the whole process run more smoothly.
Fun Fact: I grew up on a horse farm high up in the mountains of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. I loved waking up to the smell of bacon and pancakes cooking on a wood stove! Vermont’s maple syrup is still the best!
