My Background: Little did I know that having nearly 10 years of construction experience would be just as valuable as a college degree when it came to my career. It has prepared me for the world of kitchen design and understanding what the finished product will be. Anyone can draw a pretty picture but understanding how it will come out is another skill.
What I Love About Designing: I love that I get to make spaces more functional and beautiful while letting my creative juices flow. I love that I get to find ways to overcome unique challenges in different spaces. I love that I get to help people see their dream come to life.
Advice For Homeowners Purchasing A New Kitchen/Bath: Think about how you are going to use the space. This will help you figure out where things will go, like a trash cabinet for example. It is common to be placed near the sink or the stove, but you may realize it would be better to be in your island because thats where most of your prep is done. I think if you start the process with this in mind, it will help to make other decisions easier.
Fun Fact: I love to have creative freedom, which is probably why I enjoy music production. I always thought I would pursue a career as a music producer or DJ. In addition to kitchen design, I have picked up a new hobby in designing clothes. I also love to play golf and travel.
