Norfolk Kitchen & Bath Remodels Askia Academy Kitchen

Norfolk Kitchen & Bath, along with Norfolk Hardware & Home Center, recently partnered with Channel 5 WCVB to remodel Askia Academy, The Dimock Health Center’s Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Facility in Roxbury, MA.

Founded in 1862 as the New England Hospital for Women and Children, the Dimock Center heals and uplifts individuals, families, and our community. Operating on a nine-acre campus in Roxbury, The Dimock Center serves communities in Boston and across the state, providing comprehensive, culturally-competent Health and Community Care, Behavioral Health Services, and Child and Family Services to more than 17,000 people annually.

Norfolk Kitchen & Bath donated the cabinetry for the new community kitchen, while Norfolk Hardware & Home Center donated paint and paint materials. Employees of both Norfolk Kitchen & Bath and Norfolk Hardware & Home Center volunteered their time to paint Askia House with the Red Sox Foundation. Norfolk Kitchen & Bath also coordinated a DuPont Corian vanity top donation from their sister company, Northeast Cabinet & Countertop.

Cabinets: Tuscany Maple
Countertops: Cambria, Corian

Other vendors for the project include: Discover Marble & Granite and Cambria, who generously donated a beautiful quartz countertop and labor for the installation.

The remodel project took place from fall of 2017 to spring of 2018, ending with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 18, 2018.
